FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Many personal injury attorneys work on a contingency basis, meaning they only get paid if you receive an acceptable settlement or win a judgment in court. The percentage your attorney will take is typically between 25% – 40%, with 33% being standard.

We offer free initial consultation, where we’ll discuss your case and will always provide our honest opinion about that case in light of the facts, case law and our experience with similar cases.

Some pertinent questions you should ask a potential lawyer are:

  • What experience do you have with my specific type of case?
  • Who will I be communicating with?
  • Will you be working directly on my case?
  • What is your track record with this type of case?
  • What is the anticipated cost involved, and how are fees structured?
  • Typically, how long does a case like mine take to be resolved?
  • Can you provide references?

Yes, at LaBovick Law Group we can handle your case virtually. We have all the technology we need to work remotely, including computers, files, programs, and phones that we can control from our homes.

We can hold meetings with you using group teleconferencing on your phone, and we can send you all the necessary documents to sign electronically.

PREMISE LIABILITY

James was searching for equipment for painting at Home Depot. In the aisle next to him, there was a worker on a lift stocking the highest shelf. The worker pushed boxes so far across the shelf that they fell off the other edge and hit James in the head. The force almost knocked James unconscious. He sat down and the loud bang got the worker off the ladder to see what fell. When they saw James they offered him a bucket and made a report. James did not recall leaving the store or how he got home. He did not recall much except being at home depot and getting hit in the head. Home Depot told him that it was a small box of dust masks that hurt him. We discovered it was actually a large box of emergency kits that fell off the shelf.
